We review all submissions and will contact you only if we are interested in setting up an audition. Response time varies depending on our audition schedule.
What do I need to bring to a casting call or audition?
You do not need to bring a drum, drumsticks, or a didgeridoo. Please bring a headshot and resume.
Can I get feedback on my audition?
Unfortunately due to the number of applicants, we do not offer feedback at an Open Call or Initial Auditions.
How much do Blue Men get paid?
Salaries for full-time performers are competitive within the industry and Blue Man Group offers a full range of benefits.
If I am hired, where do I learn how to be a Blue Man?
All Blue Man training currently takes place in New York City.
Do I need to be a member of a union?
Blue Man Group is non-jurisdictional. We can hire union or non-union actors.
I auditioned a few weeks or months ago in city X. Should I audition again?
We ask that anyone who has auditioned before wait a minimum of 12 months before auditioning again.
I don’t have a professional headshot or resume, should I still audition?
Yes – your “Audition Information” sheet will tell us what we need to know.
I don’t want to go to City X. Should I still audition?
No – you must be willing to relocate to audition.
What should I wear to my audition?
Wear whatever you are comfortable in. Callbacks require some movement.Jeans and t-shirt are fine. No blue makeup please.
How can I audition for the band?
Casting for band members is done locally on an as-needed basis. Please check the auditions page and make sure to include your location with your submission.
I don’t live in a city with a Blue Man show. Can I still audition for the band?
Because nearly all our band spots that open up are part-time we only audition local musicians with flexible schedules.
