The Las Vegas production of Blue Man Group at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino is seeking an Automation/Rigging Technician.
Reporting to the Head of Automation, s/he will be responsible for the day to day inspection, maintenance, trouble–shooting, repair and operation of all automation and rigging components. The Technician will operate the automation control console for shows, special events, rehearsals and maintenance calls as required. All crew positions work cross–departmentally, and are not solely restricted to projects within their department.
The Automation/Rigging Technician shall have the physical ability to access all areas of the theatre and must be comfortable working at heights and in tight, small spaces.
Qualified candidates will have a 5+ years working in a professional environment as an automation/rigging technician. The successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge in the areas of pneumatics, hydraulics, ac/dc motors, and theatrical rigging.
This is a full–time, hourly paid position with a full benefits package, typically scheduled as a five–day work week with varying days and hours, and may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
